Important information, please read in its entirety.
A $175 cleaning fee is required along with a $350 security deposit. The security deposit will be refunded post inspection of home.
There are two driveways. One on each side of the house. The first driveway may be easier to park if you do not have 4x4. The first driveway is where the fire pit is at. If you have 4x4 you can use the second driveway. Try not to spin your tires as it will damage the driveway and make it harder to use.
Please be respectful to our neighbors and drive the speed limit of 10 mph when coming and going.
You are welcome to use spices and condiments in the kitchen cabinets that are in the corner cabinet (check expiration dates), but if you use up the items, please replace them.
You are welcome to use the foil and cling wrap, but if you use up the items, please replace them.
Please do not use homeowner’s food, snacks, chips, cereals, canned goods, etc. Walmart and Ingles are only 15 minutes away and there is also a Dollar General about 7 minutes away with a small section of food and deli items.
There is a coffee pot with coffee and coffee filters available to you for both regular and expresso. As well as hot chocolate.
If you do laundry, please check the dryer lint before each use. Detergent is provided for your use.
Toilet paper and paper towels are provided for your use.
During the winter – Roads may have black ice in our neighborhood. Please check the roads before leaving for safe traveling.
Trash removal – Please do not put trash in outside trash can. It will attract the bears. If you have large amounts of trash that need to be emptied out of the house prior to your departure, please take the PINK trash card found in the 3-ring binder and dump the trash at the Martin's Creek Convenience Center (6 minutes down the road) - 4038 Hedden Road, Murphy. Make sure to replace the PINK trash card back in the 3-ring binder once you return.
Rules
Reservation is not confirmed unless rental contract is signed by both parties and security deposit is received within 24 hours.
NO SMOKING inside the cabin. Will result in loss of security deposit.
NO PETS. Will result in loss of security deposit.
Per the rental agreement you signed – Maximum of 6 adults, no more than 9 guests’ total. Exceptions can be made with prior approval.
No loud music or partying on decks. Your voices travel in the mountains and the homes around us can hear you.
Please do not move indoor furniture around.
Do not park in the roadway and block the travel of cars coming and going to the top of the mountain.
Make sure the fireplace is off before leaving to go out.
Do not move the rocking chairs down to the firepit and if you move them on the deck, please put back under the porch to protect from the weather. The blue plastic chairs can be used for the firepit, just return to their location.
Do not put food trash outside. It will attract the bears. Speaking of animals, we have never seen a bear during the day at our property, but our neighbors have. There are bears, foxes, coyotes, and deer in our neighborhood.
DO NOT pour grease or oil down the sink or toilets. You can put them in a glass bowl to harden up and dispose of in the trash. DO NOT flush wipes, feminine products, or anything besides the toilet paper down our toilets.
Do not touch the food in the cabinet next to the fridge or inside the pantry.
If you use the gas grill, please turn off the propane tank under the grill once finished and clean the grill off. There are grilling utensils on the shelf of the smaller pantry. Please cover the grill once it’s cooled off.
